Good evening everyone.  I just got home from a dance in Lyons, OR so you will see this in the morning.  Our good thoughts are working and Carol is getting better every day.  We need to continue to hold her in our prayers and think about Larry and the family as they deal with this medical mystery.  We look forward to more good reports and you will see them as soon as I receive them from Larry.  This Federation is one big family and we need think good thoughts for all of us.

God is so good!  He does answer prayer!!

The ICU nurse informed me that she fed herself this morning for breakfast and they even took a short walk in the room of 6 to 8 steps.  This must have worn her out because she slept most of the morning until after lunch.  Sarah said they noticed that her left side appeared to be weak.

She got a surprise though as they moved her from ICU on the 4th floor to the Neurology floor, #6 (room 675) just after noon.  It took sometime after she got to her new room before she started to come out of the stupor she was in.

All of her vitals appear to be good.  She is holding her own.

She is having problems with memory.  Such as correct names for family members.  She gets very mixed up on events and time, thinking of things that happened years ago as very current.  Her mind is a jumble.  She does have her good moments that can last for several minutes.

We still don't know if the infection is totally gone or not.

As you can guess we don't know what other issues -- physical or mental that we need to be praying for.  (They will be doing assessments for speech, physical and occupational therapy in the next few days.)  I just know that God is still at work here and we need to trust that He knows best and we are just along for the ride.  Some day we will all be able to make some sense of this.  I can tell you that we have heard that what has happened here has already touched the lives of others as they have battled with their faith in our Lord.

I would like to send you all Thank You cards, but please accept in place of a card this simple but heart felt Thanks for your friendship and your prayers on behalf of Carol and for the family.
