Happy New Year Everyone.  The Federation is on an even keel at the moment and that is a good thing.  Ron and I wish you all a great year.  

Larry and Carol need to be in our thoughts as the new year arrives.  Carol is doing well but needs a lot of good thoughts from us in order to continue on her way to getting well.  

We have done a lot of good for Carol and we can continue with our help.

Good Morning All,

It is the last day of 2007 and we all have many memories of this past year.  I pray that many of those are profoundly good.  I do know that even with the current situation, our family has many good memories for this past year.

As you are aware Carol was moved from ICU to Neurology, Friday about noon.  The only observations I can make is that she has been feeding herself, with some degree of difficulty.   She doesn't  appear to have any problems recognizing those who visit her.  At moments she is converse quite clearly.  However, most of the time she has trouble expressing verbally what she wants to say.   She still drifts off to sleep a lot.

Because of the holiday weekend I am not getting a lot of answers to questions.  Perhaps when the Dr. Jensen, the neurologist returns on Wednesday I will have more answers.

We keep hearing about rehab:  speech, physical and mental, but have no details as yet.  

I also want some time with the social worker,

The faithful prayers of many has accomplished much.  He is definitely showing us what it means to give him thanks and praise in all things.
