We have been asked to give lots of good thoughts as Larry prepares to go back to work and care for Carol at the same time.  We can do this.

Larry, we as a Federation are with you in spirit and thoughts.  Your square dance family believes in you and what you as a husband are doing for the family.  Take care and remember to take some time for yourself so you can remain strong for Carol and the girls.

Subject: Carol Reetz Update 010608 P. M.


I am sorry that I haven't sent out updates for the past two days.  Carol has been stable for three (3) days now.  Besides the fight she has with the viral infection, she has to fight all of the other little infections that attack her system while she is in the hospital.

This afternoon she was a little more outgoing.  We were trying to communicate a little bit more, but it is so difficult when she can't talk and she has real difficulty expressing verbally what she is trying to think of.

Remember we are still praying for God to do that miraculous healing.

I need to ask for your prayers.  Carol appears to be stabilizing and I feel the need to get back to work.  My job requires me to pay very close attention to the travel agent.  It is extremely important that the information I enter provide, or the information I enter for an existing reservation is accurate and complete.  As many of can guess, my mind is wrapped around my wife and partner of almost 35 years.  How can I push those thoughts aside and pay attention to the job?  I fully believe that these thoughts are a product of Satan and I need to extend my trust in God to asking him to grant me the assurance that He will be with me in this.

Monday afternoon I hope to have some time with my supervisor to discuss my returning to work.  This is a challenge because we (a team of 15) had just completed 6 weeks of training on Friday, Dec. 14.  I had two days of work at the new position before I started a vacation and Carol got sick.  It has been almost three weeks -- what a challenge to go back to.

God is good.  As a family we have a faith in Him.  He teaches me more every day.
