Subject: Buzz and Ed


Buzz and Kathy went home to Gleneden Beach Wednesday.  They will be back
in Portland in 4 weeks for a doctor appointment.  Kathy has a notebook
full of instructions and "do's and don'ts" she has been reading.  The
most unfavorable is no dancing for 5-6 months.

I spoke with Ed this morning at the hospital.  He has low breathing
capacity and could not talk very long.  They only had to do the one valve
replacement.  He has been walking a little.  The food is good, but he
does not have much of a appetite.  He will be there at least another day
or two and may go to his sister-in-law's in Vancouver (Mary's sister)
instead of a rehab facility.  He does have his laptop and will have use
of  it when he leaves the hospital, but has not been interested at this
