Ho, Ho, Ho

One thing I learned from hundreds of hours of recording studio time when I was living in the Bay Area is "tape doesn't lie."  What our ears and our hearts hear during the performance is often reveled was wishful hearing later by "the tape".  That's not the case of our Dec 10th concert.  

While listening to this amazing recording, I have to keep reminding myself that "it's Community Band!!"   You played so well with excellent intonation and from the heart dynamics with passion.  I always knew you were capable of this level of performance but to achieve it and sustain it for the entire concert, I'm in awe.  

Thank you for allowing me to direct you.  Thank you for bringing your best to this moment.  Thank you for listening and watching and working together.  

When I am asked "what do you do for fun?" without hesitation, I say with pride...."I direct the Tualatin Valley Community Band."

Have a very Merry Christmas and I will see you in the New Year!
