I am not sure what the context is here - but there are companies that offer
musical instrument insurance.

The trombone forum said that it would be about $100/year to insure a
trombone.  Probably makes most sense
for folks that are playing professionally and constantly have their horns in
cars and semi-secure concert storage areas in high crime areas etc.
