[Tvcb] One week to go!

All,

Can you believe it, we start rehearsals one week from tonight on August 28? 
Actually, the way the weather is going, it feels like the middle of 
September already. Regardless, we have an important concert for the City of 
Tigard on September 8 (see http://www.tvcb.org/ for details) which is why we 
are starting rehearsals a bit early. Section leaders will have the music. 
You need to bring only your chair, stand, instrument (well practiced, of 
course!) and the proper mindset to the Gazebo at Cook Park. What do I mean 
by, "proper mindset"? Well, the two rehearsals prior to the concert will 
most likely be rather short and we need to get as much work done as possible 
in the time that mother nature allows us.

Hope you have all had a good summer so far and I'm sure we all look forward 
to gathering as the TVCB, making music and exchanging stories about our 
summer adventures. .......Oh yeah, if you want to exchange stories, please 
get there early and try to get the stories out of the way before
rehearsal. Hopefully, this will allow us to keep the verbal noise level low 
so that we can hear what our director is asking for.
