Dear TVCB Band members,
We often have to practice/perform in a venue where we need portable stands, and for Summer it's a necessity. Those cheap wire music stands are really difficult to deal with.
While looking for music stands over Christmas break I discovered an awsome value for a portable music stand. For $26 you get a sturdy portable stand complete with bag. You can't beat it. . . . and I was pleasantly surprised in the quality. A similar stand (without bag) goes for $40-50. I might bring my stand next rehearsal so you can see the quality.
For an idea of what they look like, here is a web page he uses when he sells on eBay:

While I have your attention, ....
* * ** BATTERY Deals (for a good cause) * * * *
My Daughter Samantha plays flute for Metro Youth Symphony and they are raising money for a trip to China. They sell quality batteries (reliant brand) for a price I don't think you can beat anywhere.
Compare the price with Costco or anywhere else. I was skeptical at first thinking maybe these were low quality batteries but to my surprise they work just as well as duracels or energizers and at half the price.
Anyway let me know if you are interested in these. I can deliver at any rehearsal after a pickup at the Saturday MYS rehearsal.
